If you’ve played any of the many Backrooms games out there, you might recall a level set inside an abandoned underground station. It’s one of the genre’s most memorable scenes, so perhaps unsurprisingly, we have a game that’s taken this as a starting point and created its own, incredibly unnerving, world.
In CABA—we’re not sure what that stands for, yet—you’re travelling along a spooky train line with nothing but the glowing signs and darkness for company. Eventually, you reach Pirámides Station, and it’s here that the anomaly-spotting, puzzles and demonic enemies begin to appear.
CABA’s demo is out now on Steam, but it’s very short. Nevertheless, it gives a good impression of the atmosphere we can expect in the main game, and has got us quite excited here at Indie Horror Gamer. With abandoned underground stations firmly positioned as a particularly skincrawling concept, it’s shaping up to be a nerve-jangling experience.
