The Nineties PSX-style games keep on coming, and this is another impressive entry, at least going by its demo. The player is a young woman, groggily awakening in a grimy, oppressive underground facility. In her hands is a string of odd coins—something awful has happened, there’s a monster (or monsters) stalking the dark corridors, and these coins appear to have an important role in the facility’s operations.

Solace Creek offers up dozens of questions, and while there’s definitely a touch of Resident Evil in its science-gone-wrong set-up and arcane puzzles, we’re super excited as to what the rest of the game has to offer.

You can check out Solace Creek’s demo on Steam now. As of writing, there’s no official release date.
