Coming Soon: Vultures - Scavengers Of Death

PS1-era style games remain all the rage, and here we have a delightful mash-up of OG Resi Evil and classic turn-based gameplay. The story is pure Resident Evil, too: you’re a member of the Vulture tactical team, sent to the post-biohazard breakout town of Salento Valley to locate the key to curing the deadly virus those damn boffins have unleashed on us this time.

Our experience of the demo was very positive. Vultures rewards slower-paced, tactical gameplay and a stealthy approach. Juggling the controls is a little bewildering at first, but once we’d worked out how to jump, run, skip and give a zombie a round of buckshot to the face, we were soon having a good old George Romero of a time. There are also plenty of visual options, including a free mode for the game’s camera. Controller support is included.

Vultures - Scavengers Of Death’s demo is available on Steam, and the full game is due out some time in April. Look out for the Indie Horror Gamer review.
