And the PSX nostalgia keeps coming, this time as a love letter to sci-fi shooters like Alien Resurrection and System Shock 2, mixed with a hefty gibbet of Doom 3, a slim slice of Silent Hill, and a large piece of oddly shaped rock from Dead Space. You’re on the remote outpost of Von Neumann, just as things are starting to go wrong. Typical. Systems are failing, the scientists are going mad, and weird crab-like creatures are menacing the populace.
Through the dark halls and rooms, the player talks to NPCs and reads notes as they try to figure out what the hell is going on. Not much is revealed in the demo, but we bet our bottom clip of AR ammo that those damn scientists have again been meddling in something they shouldn’t have.
Derilikt is out on 13th November and looks set to be a real treat for FPS and Nineties fans.
