Horror covers a range of experiences, and this psychological drama, based around the glowing menu of a so-far unknown game, begins with the player’s character, Mike Fetch, chained to their desk. The demo teases a few plot strands, from a reckless friend/partner to a mysterious voice around the menu and an elevator that goes… somewhere. It wouldn’t surprise us if there’s an Orwellian subtext to The Main Menu, but we’ll have to wait until the game’s full release before we can delve deeper into its machinations.

The Main Menu’s demo is out on the 20th October, and there’s no release date for the full game yet.
