There Are No Ghosts At The Grand is Bristol-based developer Friday Sundae’s first game. Going by our experience with its demo, there’s much to get excited about here.

American Chris David, having inherited an old hotel, arrives to discover his new property in a dilapidated state and in desperate need of cleaning, repairing and redecorating. The locals are odd, the hotel’s a mess, and he’s got just 30 days to sort it all out before the building claims his soul.

The Grand’s demo throws a curveball, shifting the action to a nearby deserted island, and it’s a highly-enjoyable segment in the company of a sarcastic cat and passive-aggressive tool assistant. There’s plenty of humour, and enough scares to warrant inclusion on Indie Horror Gamer. Here’s hoping we get to discover more of this world before the year’s up.
